How often should I come to singing lessons?
I reccommend that students attend on a weekly basis but this will of course depend on your singing and performance goals and your budget and time constraints. In between lessons I encourage you to put in plenty of practise using your CD that you will recieve at class. If you are preparing for an exam or audition you may wish to increase your number or length of singing lessons.

Can I bring a friend or family member to my singing lessons?
Unless you are 16 or under and this is your first lesson(please see below for details) family and friends are not permitted at lessons as for many singers this can be distracting and off putting meaning students don't get the most from their sesson. If you would like to perform for a family member/friend once you have perfected a song, time can be set aside for them to watch you at the end of your lesson.

If this is your first intro singing lesson and you are under 16yrs, a parent or guardian should accompany you to the lesson. This is so I can make sure I know what you want your child to achieve from singing lessons and we can discuss goals etc.

Is there a waiting area as someone will be driving me to your studio?
There is no waiting area but there is plenty of street parking and Richmond Town centre and shopping Mall is only a 2 min drive away.

How quickly can I expect to see improvement in my voice?
I usually find that as a result of simple techniques you will see positive changes in the way you sing within just a few  singing lessons.

As with anything you learn, a great deal of your progress will be down to how much you practise. But with your cd of vocal exercises and backing tracks to practise with, you will have everything you need to make a real difference.

What happens if I can't make it to a singing lesson?
If you cannot make your a lesson I ask that you give me 48hours notice to allow for me to reschedule students or put somebody else in your place as I have a waiting list.  As long as you give 48hours notice there is no charge. However if you cancel your lesson after this time there will be a charge of 50% of your lesson fee.

Is it possible to have a longer/shorter singing lesson?
45 mins is the usual duration of singing lessons as from experience I have found that anything less dosen't allow adequate time to work on both strengthening exercises and chosen songs. Lessons can be booked for more than 45 mins however (discuss fee's with your Claire).
If students are particularly young we can also look at slightly shorter lessons and aim to have them more frequently.
